Collective investment schemes statistics (subsequent to CNMV Circular 1/2009)

Statistical information on the number of collective investment schemes and aggregate data for the sector following the entry to force, on 1 April 2009, of Circular 1/2009 on categories of collective investment schemes according to their investment policy.

Quarterly data are provided for both investment funds (FIs) and open-ended investment companies (SICAVs) with regard to asset distribution, investors and shareholder numbers, performance, the financial group to which they belong and the kind of investment they engage in (fixed income, equity). Figures from consolidated balance sheets and income statements are incorporated annually. A series of annexes list investment fund data on an individual basis.

Editions corresponding to the second and fourth quarters also include aggregate and individual data on collective investment schemes management companies (SGIICs).

Collective investment schemes statistics (prior to CNMV Circular 1/2009)

Statistical information on the number of collective investment schemes and aggregate data for the sector prior to the entry to force, on 1 April 2009, of Circular 1/2009 on categories of collective investment schemes according to their investment policy.

Furthermore, 4th quarter 2008 and 1st quarter 2009 data have been subject to accounting changes introduced by Circular CNMV 3/2008 regarding the financial statements that collective investment schemes are obliged to file with the CNMV.

Data are provided on securities investment funds (FIMs) with regard to asset distribution, investors and shareholder numbers, performance, the financial group to which they belong and the kind of investment they engage in (fixed income, equity). The same information is offered for money-market funds (FIAMMs).

In the case of investment trust companies (SIMs), the file includes statistical information on their consolidated balance sheets and income statements. Finally, a series of annexes list FIMs and FIAMMs in alphabetical order.

Editions corresponding to the second and fourth quarters also include aggregate and individual data for collective investment schemes management companies (SGIICs).
