Mediterranean partnership of securities regulators
It is an open institutional partnership established, on the 23 march 2009, between the signatories of the charter´s institution which were the securities regulators of countries from both shores of the mediterranean sea (Algeria, Egypt, Spain, France, Italy, Morocco, Portugal and Tunisia); Greece signed in september 2009.
Its purpose is to enhance the cooperation among the signatories in terms of regulation and supervision of the financial markets through the adaptation of IOSCO principles in the area and through the convergence with the European regulation related to securities markets, principally, in three aspects: collective investment schemes, prospectuses and market abuse.
