The Iberoamerican Securities Markets Institute (Instituto Iberoamericano del Mercado de Valores (IIMV)) is an institution, set up the 20 may 1999 by the initiative of the  Spanish Ministry of Finance and the CNMV. It was set up as an independent legal entity with its own functions whose objective is the enhancing the transparency and integrity of the securities markets of the Latin American countries.

The CNMV, in collaboration with other institutions, provides the material and human resources to carry out the activities of the IIMV and gives assistance in everything needed such as lending our staff for courses and seminars, organising the agendas for institutional visits of supervisors from that region or participating in the editing Council of its publications etc.
